Viewer Response #1

Dear Gen Xer,
You are not a failure as long as you are trying.  The only failures are the people who just won't try.  Even the homeless people aren't necessarily failures.  They just had something go wrong with their lives that they couldn't control.  The world is made up of a lot of different types of people.  There are the rich that never had to work for anything, and can also be failures because they fail to love anyone as much as their money.  There are the poor who have everything because they have the love of their family even when times are hard.  Being poor doesn't mean failure.  A lot of poor people are simply poor because they weren't able to get a good education for one reason or another.  But, they are successful, because they are doing the best they can with what they have.  A lot of companies have downsized, putting very successful people in the position of trying to make ends meet.

My mom always said, "You are what you think.  So, let's only think of the good and pure."
She was a smart lady.  Not rich or success in the eyes of the world, but a total success in my eyes.

Thank you for your time.

My Response to Viewer

    Dear Viewer,
I very much appreciate the letter.  Sometimes this page is just my own personal pity party and I always feel grateful hearing I am doing all right.
